Puppy Socialisation
To avoid problems later, it is important that your puppy has the chance to play regularly with other friendly dogs. Puppy training and socialisation classes are the ideal way to start this off.
The pups get plenty of socialisation in a controlled environment. One instructor leads the class, with the help of other trained instructors and experienced helpers, which means the owners (family members and children who are encouraged to come along) can relax and enjoy the fun. This allows the the pups to learn the social graces of their own species and to play and gain confidence. During the 4 week course, there is plenty of advice about exercise, grooming etc.
The exercises taught are sit, down, stand, puppy recall and heel work. To aid training at this stage tit bits are used, however these will be reduced when an exercise is learned.
